Odenton Residents Sound Off on Snowplowing

ODENTON, MD—As of 8 a.m. Sunday the blizzard warning for Maryland has been lifted. Over the weekend, Winter Storm Jonas brought over two feet of snow to towns across Anne Arundel County.

No travel ban was issued for Odenton throughout the storm, but Governor Larry Hogan is still urging residents to stay off the roads while crews get to work.

We asked Patch readers in Odenton how they felt about the plowing done on their block. Here’s what they said:

• “We had a plow come through,but there is still at least another 5 feet to get to the driveway so we are going to have to clear that too. Not a very good job.”
• “Yes. That said, I do wish one of the three bobcats that drove by earlier would clear the edge of my driveway.”
• “what plowing? we haven’t had a plow come through even once yet...”
• “Not really but it is done by private contractors for our park. One clown parked wrong messes it up on our street. Much more work needed now than it should have”
• “What plowing? Haven’t seen one yet.”
• “No. Tab st off of Monterey has not been touched. The other side streets have at least been plowed once.”
• “We are plowed. Riva, behind the fire house.”
• “What plowing? If I’m lucky, they’ll send a plow before all of the snow has finally melted.”
• “I don’t expect miracles”
• “Much happier with what was done today--by a very dedicated, considerate man who was not part of (take)Advantage Landscaping. (They made their usual one pass around the center of the circle, just about sundown yesterday, and never came back.)”
• “Live on a dead end and we will see a plow on Friday, maybe....”
• “ No plow yet. There is just so much snow and only so many trucks/drivers. We all just need to be a little patient a little longer.”
• “Yes, our small HOA hires someone to supplement during heavy snow. Haven’t seen a county plow but since we are at the end of a cul de sac I’m not surprised. Hoping the county plows are working on the main roads and we will get our less traveled areas. Thanks to all who have been working hard this weekend!”
