Odenton Teen Charged In Columbia Liquor Heist

Police said an Odenton teen was one of two people who broke into Merriweather Post Pavilion to steal alcohol.

COLUMBIA, MD - Alcohol was stolen and an Odenton man was arrested in connection with a burglary at Merriweather Post Pavilion Thursday night, according to the Howard County Police Department.

At 10:28 p.m., police responded to the concert venue in the 10400 block of Little Patuxent Parkway in Columbia.

A locked cage had been cut open, and alcohol had been taken from the location, police reported.

An 18-year-old from the 1800 block of Militia Lane in Odenton was charged with five counts of burglary; theft less than $1,000; theft less than $100; destruction of property up to $1,000; and trespassing.

He posted bond Friday and was released from custody. A second suspect was at large.
