Odenton Woman Charged With Burglarizing School: Police

Anne Arundel County Police say the woman reportedly admitted stealing school supplies.

An Odenton woman was charged with burglarizing Odenton Elementary School Thursday night, police say.

Anne Arundel County Police were sent to the school at 1290 Odenton Road after an alarm was tripped just before midnight. When officers arrived, they discovered an open door.

While searching the school, officers found a woman in the media area. During a search of the suspect, officers reportedly recovered school supplies in her pockets that she later admitted to taking from a classroom.

A school official confirmed that the suspect -- Jessica Gail Gambrill, 38, of Prince Charles Avenue in Odenton -- was not an employee and had no business on school property.

Gambrill was arrested and charged with second- and third-degree burglary and theft under $100.
