Officer, Suspect Hospitalized After Driver Hits Police Vehicle In Hanover: Report
An officer and a suspect were hospitalized after the driver hit a police vehicle outside the Hanover Walmart, a report said.

HANOVER, MD — An officer and a suspect were hospitalized recently after a driver hit a police vehicle outside the Hanover Walmart, a report said. Authorities expect the officer and the suspect to survive.
County police identified the suspect as 22-year-old A’Keirra Patrice Dana Smith of Baltimore. Officers said they charged Smith accordingly.
The crash happened Saturday around 7 p.m. at 7081 Arundel Mills Circle, authorities said.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department said it heard a report of reckless, speeding vehicles in the parking lot.
Authorities said Smith intentionally drove toward and nearly struck several officers while they were trying to disperse the crowd.

Smith then crashed into the occupied police vehicle while fleeing the parking lot, a press release said.
