One Arrest Made, 2nd Suspect Sought in Bike Trail Robbery

Anne Arundel County Police are looking for a second man involved in robbing a man on the B&A Bike Trail in Glen Burnie.

One of two men suspected of assaulting and robbing a man on the B&A Bike Trail near Aquahart Road in Glen Burnie was arrested in part because of quick actions by witnesses, police say.

Bystanders saw the strong-armed robbery taking place Tuesday afternoon and contacted the police. A lookout was broadcast for two black males, one wearing bright orange tennis shoes. Moments later, officers located the suspect wearing the orange shoes in the area of Ritchie Highway.

The victim and witnesses identified Nicholas Antonio Santiago, 21, of 7903 Liberty Circle in Pasadena, as the primary suspect who assaulted and robbed the victim. Police say Santiago was found with the victim’s property. He was arrested and charged with robbery, second-degree assault and theft.

Police are still looking for a second suspect, described as a black male between 18 and 20 years old, clean cut with short hair.
