Opportunity MDOT Hosting Kickoff Workshop Aug. 1

HANOVER, MD — Opportunity MDOT will be hosting a kick-off workshop for business owners so they are prepared for upcoming opportunities related to the I-495 & I-270 Public-Private Partnership (P3) Program on Thursday, Aug. 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Adele H. Stamp Student Union on the University of Maryland College Park campus.

The Maryland Department of Transportation's I-495 & I-270 P3 Program hopes to provide travelers with congestion relief. Opportunity MDOT is designed to ensure Maryland’s small businesses, workforce and economy benefit from the program’s overall investment, estimated to be $9 billion to $11 billion.Every $1 billion in highway construction supports 13,000 jobs for one year, according to the Federal Highway Administration.
