Papa John's Pizza Driver Robbed at Gunpoint

A driver for Papa John's Pizza reported he was robbed at gunpoint on Blue Water Boulevard in Odenton when trying to deliver a pizza.

Odenton, MD — A pizza delivery driver was reportedly robbed at gunpoint Saturday night in Odenton, according to Anne Arundel County Police.

The armed encounter was reported just after midnight by a driver for Papa John’s, 1200 Annapolis Road in Odenton.

The driver told officers he was robbed at 11:45 p.m. in front of 2577 Blue Water Blvd. in Odenton. When the driver attempted to deliver an order at the address, there was no answer at the door.

As the victim got back into his vehicle, an unknown suspect walked up behind the car and showed a handgun. The suspect took money and food from the driver, then fled on foot.

Multiple units, including K9, searched the area, but they failed to locate the robber.

Police describe the suspect as a black man in his 20s, 5’7”, thin build, afro-style hair, wearing dark clothing, and armed with a small, semi-automatic handgun.
