Pedestrian Fatally Struck In Anne Arundel County Hit-And-Run Crash: Police

A pedestrian was fatally struck during a hit-and-run crash in Anne Arundel County, police said. Officers have not yet identified the victim.

LINTHICUM, MD — A pedestrian was fatally struck during a recent hit-and-run crash in Linthicum, county police announced Tuesday.

Officers have not yet identified the late male.

The collision happened around 7:15 p.m. Monday at northbound Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard and Schulamar Road, authorities said.

Police said the victim was in the northbound travel lanes of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard when an unknown vehicle hit him.

Officers said the vehicle, which may have been a white Lexus, did not stay on the scene.

Authorities think the victim may have been trying to cross the street from east to west when he was hit. Police said the pedestrian was wearing dark, non-reflective clothing.

The Anne Arundel County Fire Department pronounced the victim dead on the scene, a press release said.

Authorities said they took the victim's body to the Maryland Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department is still investigating.
