Phillip Butts To Perform Friday With Sunset Band

Phillip Butts, the longtime music director at Arundel High School, will play in a free concert Friday at Marley Station Mall in Glen Burnie. 

Butts, who retired last year after more than 40 years of teaching, will play with the Sunset Band and perform hits from the 1950s, 60s, 70s and 80s. Arundel High alumnus Michael Overholser will join the group. 

The performance will go from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and is part of Marley Station Mall's "First Friday" entertainment program. 

The concert is scheduled to be held outdoors, but could move into the mall if it rains.
