By now, most people have driven by the former Nevamar site and seen the ongoing demolition and construction work. But it's difficult to get a sense of what is actually being done on site. Work crews are demolishing buildings and moving large piles of debris for recycling. Meanwhile, they are preparing the site for the construction of 369 apartments, to be called Flats170 at Academy Yard. Ellen Miller of developer StonebridgeCarras emailed me this aerial shot of the site, which offers a unique perspective on the size of the site and scope of work.
