Possible Armed Robbery Reported in Severn

A man on a bike implied that he had a weapon when he robbed a Laurel man at a Severn intersection, police say.

SEVERN, MD — A man was robbed Tuesday night in Severn by a suspect who implied that he had a weapon, according to Anne Arundel County Police.

The robbery was reported about 8 p.m. in the area of Stillmeadows Drive and Parham Court in Severn. The victim — a Laurel man — told police he was parked near the intersection with a group of friends when a man approached on a bicycle. The man stopped at the back window and reached into the waistband of his pants, suggesting he had a weapon.

The suspect demanded the victim's watch and cell phone, then fled the area.
