Price for Transit Link Cards Rises Monday

Some MARC and Metro users will see the costs of their commutes rise beginning on Monday, as the cost of a Transit Link card increases by $6 per month.

For Odenton commuters traveling to Washington, DC, the increase means the total cost of using the Transit Link Card each month will be $233 ($108 for the Transit Link card and $125 for a MARC monthly pass.)

The increasese are the result of price hikes on the Metro system. Here's a list of the new Metro fares.

When combined with a monthly MARC pass, the Transit Link Card allows for unlimited use of all MARC Train and the entire Washington Metro system.
