Restaurant Employee Beaten During Robbery: Police

Anne Arundel County Police continue to search for a man suspected of beating and robbing a Crofton restaurant employee at gunpoint.

An employee at Latino Express, 1058 Route 3 North, reported the armed robbery about 8:30 p.m. Friday night. She told police that a man forced his way into the business and pointed a gun at her. The suspect then struck the victim multiple times in the head and face with the gun before taking an undisclosed amount of cash from the business.

The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital.

The suspect is a man of unknown race who was tall and heavyset.
