Robbery Spree In Gambrills, Crofton Yields Arrest: Police
An Anne Arundel County man robbed three stores in a single day, police said. Here's what businesses were hit.

GAMBRILLS, MD — Police arrested a Crofton man on Tuesday, charging him with three armed robberies and an assault. All four crimes happened on Sunday, officers said. An incident report accused the suspect of robbing these businesses:
- BP: 738 Crain Highway in Gambrills (2 a.m.)
- Taj Mahal Indo-Pak Supermarket: 2510 Conway Road in Gambrills (11:40 a.m.)
- Five Guys: 1060 Crain Highway in Gambrills (9 p.m)
The man flashed a handgun during all three robberies and demanded cash from each register, police noted. Every cashier complied, the report added, surrendering an unknown amount of money.
Officers said the same man approached a woman at a drive-through ATM in Crofton. The report noted that he tapped on the passenger window with a silver gun.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department eventually identified the suspect as Matthew Melson Parsons. Officers found the 39-year-old in Gambrills on Tuesday. He was sitting in his 2008 Silver Ford Taurus X at the intersection of Conway Road and Patuxent Road.
Police arrested Parsons without incident, charging him with the robberies and the assault. Officers said they secured a search warrant for Parsons' vehicle and recovered a .357- caliber Ruger handgun. Detectives think this was the gun used in all four crimes.
Parsons faces charges of 10 felonies and 11 misdemeanors. A judge decided to hold Parsons without bail at a Tuesday hearing.
The accused man will next appear in court for a preliminary hearing on Dec. 30. His case does not yet list a trial date.
