Robbery Victim Beaten, Kicked Near Crofton School
A group of males punched the man in the face and kicked him when he was walking near Crofton Meadow Elementary School, police say.

CROFTON, MD — A man was kicked in the face and beaten during a mugging near Crofton Meadow Elementary School, police say.

Anne Arundel County Police found the 22-year-old victim about 12:45 a.m. Thursday near Tilghman Drive and Fallsway Drive in Crofton. The man was bleeding from wounds to his head and face.

The victim told police he was walking east on Tilghman Drive near the elementary school when he was attacked from behind and knocked to the ground.
Several suspects punched and kicked the victim in the face, then stole his backpack, which contained clothing and an Android cell phone.
The victim was treated and released from an area hospital.
Several officers and a Canine Unit searched the area for the suspects without result.
No description was given for the male suspects.
