Severn Man, 2 Teens Charged in Handgun Assault
A man walking in Glen Burnie reported a handgun was pointed at him from an SUV; police found an air pistol in the vehicle.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A Severn man and two teenagers face assault charges for allegedly pointing a gun at a man on a Glen Burnie street, according to police.
The assault was reported at 4:10 a.m. Monday in the area of Crain Highway and Fifth Ave SE in Glen Burnie. The victim said he was walking on Crain Highway when a white SUV pulled up next to him and an occupant pointed a handgun; the man said he heard a clicking noise which he thought was the suspect pulling the trigger.
The vehicle was last seen on Fifth Avenue heading toward Ritchie Highway. Police spotted a white SUV soon after the threat, driving through the parking lot of Glen Burnie High School, and stopped the vehicle.

A man and two juveniles, all from Severn, were detained and the victim identified the vehicle as the one from which the gun was pointed at him. Police officer found an air soft pistol inside the SUV.
All three suspects were arrested and charged with first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, trespassing and disorderly conduct.

The man charged is Lawrence Tyrell Evans, 20, of the 1700 block of Village Square Court in Severn. Authorities say one of the unnamed juveniles lives in the 1800 block of Hillwood Court in Severn, while the other youth lives in the 1600 block of Old Bay Lane in Severn.
