Severn Man Charged With Shooting Friend: Police
A Glen Burnie man was shot in the leg Monday; a man whose car the victim was riding in has been charged with attempted murder.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A Severn man faces an attempted murder charge for allegedly shooting a Glen Burnie acquaintance in the leg, say Anne Arundel County Police.
Just after 4 a.m. Monday, police were called to the area of WB&A Boulevard and Dorsey Road for a shooting. Officers found a 34-year-old man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his leg.
The victim told police he was shot by a known acquaintance after they had been traveling together in a vehicle in the area. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Officers located a crime scene in the area and identified the shooting suspect as Mark Anthony Artison, 25, of Severn. Just before 9 a.m., detectives located Artison in the Severn area and he was apprehended after a short vehicle and foot pursuit, police say.
Investigators also searched a business in the 8300 block of WB&A Road in Severn for evidence related to the crime.

Artison was arrested and taken to the Anne Arundel County Detention Center, where he is currently awaiting trial after being held without bond. He is charged with first-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault and reckless endangerment.
