Severn Man Waiting for Bus Attacked, Robbed

Anne Arundel County Police say a man woke up in the hospital after he was attacked and robbed while waiting for a bus in Severn.

Severn, MD — A man woke up in the hospital with head injuries after he was mugged while waiting for a bus in Severn, police said.

Anne Arundel County Police were called to Baltimore Washington Medical Center about 1 a.m. Saturday for a patient who was assaulted and robbed. Officers met with the adult male victim, who was suffering from head and facial injuries.

The victim told investigators he was in the area of Pioneer Drive and Richfield Drive waiting for a bus, then the next thing he remembered was waking up in the hospital. He reported that his wallet and cell phone were taken.

Officers searched the crime scene and looked for suspects and witnesses without success.

The victim was unable to give police a description of his attacker.
