ODENTON-SEVERN, MD — A Severn woman who routinely buys lottery tickets with relatives recently won big after snagging scratch-offs at a Landover gas station.
The woman, identified by Maryland Lottery as a school teacher of three years, struck gold when she picked up two Gold Bar Bingo tickets at a Sunoco gas station.
While one of the scratch-offs didn't provide, the same couldn't be said of the second winning ticket.

"She went through the first five cards on the scratch card without incident. It was on that sixth card the caller’s numbers and free space formed an X, which translated to a $50,000 prize," reads a release from Maryland Lottery.
While she doesn't have any specific plans for the funds, the teacher said she'll be using the winnings to help with the expenses of raising her twin daughters.
