Shell Station Held Up By Masked, Armed Robber

The Jessup Shell and Food Mart was robbed early Thursday morning, police say. A clerk and customer were robbed.

JESSUP, MD — An armed man got away with cash after holding up the Jessup Shell and Food Mart early Thursday, authorities said.

The robbery was reported just after 5 a.m. at 2753 Annapolis Road in Jessup. The store clerk told Anne Arundel County Police that a black man, armed with a handgun, entered the store and stole money from a customer and a clerk.

Police say the suspect fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash in an unknown direction. Officers searched the area, but did not find the robber.

The suspect is described as a black male, unknown age, 5-07, 180 pounds, who wore dark clothing, a mask, and was armed with a handgun.
