Summer Days: Naval Academy Sport Camps

The United States Naval Academy will offer 21 camps in virtually every sport.

The United States Naval Academy is conducting 21 camps this summer at their beautiful downtown Annapolis location, with several beginning Monday, June 20.

Girl's Lacrosse will be run by Navy head coach Cindy Timchal, who has coached eight national championship teams, is a two-time national coach of the year and four time ACC coach of the year. Timchal is the NCAA career wins leader with 379.

The youth day camp will run from June 20-23 for ages 5-12, and the Elite Gold Camp for rising sophomores, juniors and seniors will be held from June 23-25. The Elite Gold Camp is designed for elite players who desire to play in college.

Girl's Basketball will be led by camp director and Navy head coach Stefanie Pemper, who enters her third year at Navy after spending more than 10 years at division III Bowdoin College. There, Pemper compiled a winning percentage of .830.

Pemper will offer four camps. Individual for ages 8-18 from June 20-23 designed for fun and learning, an Elite Camp for high school players, which runs in conjunction with the individual camp, a Team Camp (June 24-26) for high school teams wishing to get a jump on the upcoming season, and a Day Camp (Aug. 1-5) for beginning players age 8-13.

Football individual and team camps will run from June 26-29 and be helmed by the Naval Academy coaching staff. The camp is designed to teach, improve and refine football skills in all areas while emphasizing weight training and flexibility.
