Authorities said Hardy, who had been pronounced dead at the scene, was a passenger in a Ford Explorer involved in the collision. The driver of the SUV, identified as a 38-year-old man, was treated at a local trauma center.
Early findings in the case indicate the multi-vehicle crash unfolded when Corbin Congedo, the 22-year-old driver of a Chevrolet Camaro, was speeding on the westbound lanes of Dorsey Road and hit a Mazda CX-30, according to State Police.

The impact of the collision caused Congedo to cross into the intersection, hitting the Ford Explorer and an MTA bus that were both turning onto Telegraph Road from the eastbound lanes of Dorsey Road.
Officials said only Congedo and the driver of the Ford Explorer were hospitalized for injuries. The extent of their injuries were not specified.
"Investigators believe impairment and speed may be contributing factors in the crash," MSP said.
An investigation into the case is ongoing. No charges have been announced in the matter.
