Suspect Tries to Elude Police in Briar Patch
Anne Arundel County Police say a Baltimore man tried to hide in a briar-filled ditch in Hanover to escape arrest.

HANOVER, MD — A Baltimore man ran into a briar patch to escape officers hunting him for breaking into vehicles in Hanover, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
A resident in the area of Rotherham Drive at Calderdale Court in Hanover reported about 2:20 a.m. Saturday that a man was pulling on door handles and entering vehicles without consent.
During a search of the area, officers saw the suspect – later identified as Stuart Wesley Schuster, 47, from Cumberland Street in Baltimore – who ran into a briar-filled ditch. A perimeter was established and officers entered the woods line/briar patch to arrest the suspect. Police say Schuster at first resisted, but after a brief struggle he was placed into custody.
