Suspected Gambrills Drug Deal Prompts Arrest of Bowie Man, Crofton Woman: Police
After a suspected drug deal at a Gambrills gas station, police said they arrested a Bowie man and a Crofton woman.

GAMBRILLS, MD — Police announced that they arrested two people last Friday after a suspected drug deal outside a Gambrills gas station. A press release identified the arrestees as 19-year-old Jayshon Kamal Stephens of Bowie and 21-year-old Ashley Paige Getsinger of Crofton.
An officer reported seeing the incident in the parking lot of the Wawa located at 701 Annapolis Road. The suspects left the area in a silver Kia Forte.
Authorities said they stopped the car and found the driver with a 9-mm polymer 80 Glock 17 replica handgun and about 33 grams of suspected marijuana. The Anne Arundel County Police Department noted that it arrested the accused driver and passenger.

Stephens is charged with eight weapon violations. Getsinger faces charges of marijuana possession and disorderly conduct.
