Teen Mugged by 2 Men in Millersville: Police

A 17-year-old boy told police he was punched in the face, then chased down by robbers who took his cell phone and wallet.

MILLERSVILLE, MD — A teenager was punched in the face, then chased down by robbers as he tried to flee the pair of suspects, according to Anne Arundel County Police.

The robbery happened about 2:20 a.m. Saturday in the 400 block of Old Mill Road. The 17-year-old victim reported that he was walking when a dark green, unknown make and model vehicle pulled alongside him and stopped. A tall thin man in his early 20’s approached the teen, talked briefly with him, then punched the youth in the face and demanded his property.

Police say the teen ran away, but he was caught a short distance away by a second suspect, who was inside the vehicle. The second robber went through the boy's pockets and took his phone, wallet and keys.

Both suspects then fled the area toward Old Mill Boulevard. A search of the area by police recovered the victim’s keys and cellphone on Williamstown Drive, but the suspects and their vehicle were not found.

Police describe the first robber as a black man, 6’2’-6’3”, in his early 20s with a thin build, and the second suspect as a black man, 5’8”, also in his early 20s with a thin build.
