Teen Shot Several Times In Severn, Victim Sent To Hospital: Police

A 16-year-old boy was shot several times while standing on a Severn home's back porch, police said. The victim was hospitalized.

SEVERN, MD — A 16-year-old boy was shot and hospitalized Sunday in Severn, county police said. Officers did not give an update on the victim's condition.

Authorities said they heard about the shooting in the 1800 block of Eagle Court around 8:30 p.m.

A press release said the victim told police that he stepped out onto the rear porch, heard several gunshots and was struck several times.

Officers said a relative of the victim, who was inside the home, heard the gunshots and found the boy lying on the back porch.

There were no witnesses to the shooting, authorities said.

Detectives are still investigating.
