When: Tuesday, 7 p.m.
Where: 44 Calvert St., Annapolis
Details: The council has a number of pieces of legislation up for discussion. Issues include public ethics, the self-insurance fund, animal control and tattoo parlors.
County School Board Takes up the Budget
When: Wednesday, 7 p.m.
Where: 2644 Riva Rd., Annapolis
Details: The school board will hold its first public meeting to discuss the proposed budget for 2014. There will be an opportunity for public comment.
33rd District Democrats Meet in Odenton
When: Thursday, 6 p.m.
Where: Perry's Restaurant, Odenton
Details: The club will hold a discussion on "the other ballot issues," including the charter amendements, Dream Act, gay marriage and casino expansion.
When: Friday, 6:30 p.m.
Where: South River High School, Edgewater
Details: Last year, Arundel edged South River in a thriller. The Wildcats will look to start their season 4-0, while the Sea Hawks will look to rebound after a close loss to Broadneck last Friday.
