Timbuktu Restaurant Held Up By Two Armed Men

Police are searching for two men who held up employees at Timbuktu Restaurant in Hanover; one woman was injured.

HANOVER, MD — Police are searching for two armed men who held up employees at the Timbuktu Restaurant in Hanover and struck one of the workers before they fled.

The robbery happened about 10:40 a.m. Thursday, according to Anne Arundel County Police. Two suspects, each armed with a handgun, entered the business at 1726 Dorsey Road and demanded money from employees.

The thieves took an unknown amount of cash, ran out of the business and were last seen running toward Route 100, authorities say. Anne Arundel County officers, including K9 air aviation units, searched the area, but did not find the suspects.

A woman who works at the restaurant was struck by one of the suspects and suffered a minor injury. She was taken by Anne Arundel County Fire Department personnel to a local hospital for treatment.

The first suspect is described as a black man, 20-30 years old, 6’0” with a medium complexion, who was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, black and white shoes, and a black hat.

The second suspect is described as a black man 40-50 years old, 6 feet tall, with a medium complexion, wearing dark blue coveralls, boots, and a floppy hat.
