Top Five Stories: Bad Driving, Water Restrictions, Kenya

Another week is in the books, and most of us have been following closely the news out of Aurora, CO.

Police reported that Darryl Watson of Baltimore was wanted in the city for some traffic violations. They said he fled police and made his way south all the way to Telegraph Road, where he crashed into one car and the ran off. Anne Arundel County police eventually found him in an abandoned house on Reece Road.

In another case of dangerous driving, Michael A. Jasper was sentenced to eight years in jail, after he pleaded guilty to a series of traffic offenses stemming from a police chase in 2010. Prosecutors said he rammed at least five cars—hurting several passengers in the process—when he tried to flee from police.

It seems odd now that we've had a lot of rain, but residents in the north and west parts of Anne Arundel County have been asked to avoid watering their lawns or washing their cars. The repair of a major water main in Baltimore has led to less capacity for folks living in the county. The restrictions are expected to last for at least another week or so.

Jordan Luber and Aashi Parikh have been looking to raise $11,000 for an education resource center and book club in a remote village in Kenya. They recently won $1,000 as part of an entrepreneur program tied in with M&T Bank.

Officers said a man tried to speak to a young girl one evening on Odenton Road, at one point asking the girl to come over and speak to him at his car. It's unclear what his motives were.
