Tyler Young Named Lacrosse All-American

Arundel High lacrosse standout Tyler Young has been selected as an All-American and will play in the 2011 National Lacrosse Classic, which features top high school players in the nation.

Young, a midfielder from Crofton, was one of 25 student-athletes selected from public high schools in Maryland. He was one of only seven rising juniors selected to the Mid-Atlantic regional team. 

The regional team will compete with other teams from across the country for a shot at a national title.

The 2011 National Lacrosse Classic will be held in Germantown, MD from July 5-8. 

Young was among the top players for Arundel this past season, earning first team all-county honors.
