Water Is Back: Go Ahead and Flush

Residents in Crofton, Odenton, Jessup and Maryland City are again free to resume water as normal; repairs are finished.

CROFTON, MD — Water supply levels recovered overnight after a water main break repair, allowing county offiicals to lift the voluntary restrictions in Crofton, Odenton, Maryland City, and Jessup.

On Tuesday, water was scarce enough that officials asked residents to seriously cut back on usage -- fewer toilet flushes and showers .

Public water customers in these areas were asked to limit their water use following 36-inch raw water supply main break on Monday at the Crofton Meadows II Water Treatment Plant.

Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works officials thanked area residents for their efforts, support, and patience during the needed voluntary restrictions.
