Woman Fights Purse-Snatcher in Severn Parking Lot
Anne Arundel County Police say the woman struggled with the man who grabbed her purse, then fled in a waiting car.

SEVERN, MD — A woman put up a fight to hold on to her purse when she was mugged outside a Severn business Tuesday afternoon, police said.
The robbery was reported just before 2 p.m. Tuesday in the 7800 block of Quarterfield Road.

The 40-year-old victim told officers she was walking to her vehicle in a parking lot when a man ran up to her and grabbed her purse. The two struggled over the purse, which the suspect wrestled from the victim.
Police say the man then jumped into a waiting vehicle driven by a second suspect. The vehicle was last seen at the intersection of Donaldson Avenue and Telegraph Road.

The victim was not hurt, but was extremely shaken up by the robbery, police said.
Numerous officers, detectives, and a K-9 unit searched the area for the suspects without success.
The suspects were described as two black men who fled in a silver car, possibly a four-door sedan.
