Woman Fights Off Attacker in Her Bedroom: Police
Police have increased patrols in the Laurel area after a masked man entered a woman's home Tuesday morning.

A Laurel woman fought off a masked man who assaulted her in her bedroom Tuesday morning, and police have stepped up patrols in the area.
Anne Arundel County Police say the woman, who lives in the 200 block of Charlotte Drive in Laurel, reported that a male wearing a mask and gloves entered her apartment about 6:30 a.m. Once inside, the woman was physically assaulted in the bedroom of the apartment.
Police say the suspect’s full intentions are unknown since the woman defended herself and the interaction between the two happened quickly. The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a male of unknown race, about 5 feet tall, wearing a long-sleeved shirt and long pants.
