$13M Owings Mills Boulevard Project Is Now Complete
Local leaders cut the ribbon on the Owings Mills Boulevard extension Thursday, which they say will bring traffic relief.

OWINGS MILLS, MD — The extension of Owings Mills Boulevard is now complete, marking the start of a new chapter for the area.
With the 1.2 mile-extension from Winands Road to Liberty Road, existing portions of the boulevard were joined to form a continuous route.
Owings Mills Boulevard in its entirety stretches 3.8 miles from Reisterstown Road to Liberty Road.

“Completing Owings Mills Boulevard not only promotes economic prosperity, but will ease local traffic congestion and diminish cut-through traffic,” Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz said in a statement Thursday. “This is a major infrastructure investment for our community.”
This was not the first extension of Owings Mills Boulevard. In 2012, the road was extended from Lyons Mill Road to Winands Road.

“This final section of Owings Mills Boulevard opens up a major artery and will relieve traffic by keeping drivers from zig-zagging through side streets to get where they need to go,” 4th District Councilman Julian Jones said.
