2 Charged In Deadly Shooting Of Owings Mills Man: Police

COLUMBIA, MD — Two men have been charged in the December murder of an Owings Mills man, according to police.

Anthony Patterson, 20, of Owings Mills, was shot at 10:23 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 4, outside the Main Event at The Mall in Columbia.

Police said he was killed in the parking lot area in the 10300 block of Little Patuxent Parkway.

Officials said Angelo Deans, 17, of no fixed address, was charged with first- and second-degree murder, three counts of first-degree assault, attempted first-degree murder, reckless endangerment and related firearms charges.

Deans and Patterson got into a brief argument outside the business before the teen, who has been charged as an adult, was driven away by another man, officials said.

Charles Thomas Busey, 29, of Washington, D.C., was charged with accessory after the fact for first- and second-degree murder, according to the Howard County Police Department, which reported both Busey and Deans were arrested in the last week in D.C.

Authorities, who had offered a reward for information, said they do not think Patterson knew the two men before the incident.

Busey and Deans are being held in D.C., police reported.
