Woodlawn House Destroyed In Fire: Report

Firefighters battled a blaze in Baltimore County Thursday night that reportedly took hours to control.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A fire near Woodlawn Thursday drew crews from across the county. It displaced the residents of a home where firefighters initially said they had reports of people trapped.

·The fire on Rices Lane was at two alarms, the Baltimore County Volunteer Firefighter's Association reported at 5:50 p.m. on Thursday.

After 6 p.m., the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company reported the fire was at three alarms, and it was sending its rehab unit to provide relief for those fighting the blaze.

Firefighters struggled to get water to battle the house fire in the 3100 block of Rices Lane, where all residents escaped, WBAL reported. According to the news station, it took hours for crews to bring the blaze under control, and the house was deemed a total loss.
