A Glance At 24 Possible Water Tower Sites

The Baltimore County Department of Public Works is still reviewing 24 potential sites for a water tower in the Reisterstown/Owings Mills area, with a report expected to be completed by September, a public works spokesman said.

Patch has reviewed the location of each potential site, and has assigned descriptions based on the roads and intersections that most nearly identify each site.

Below, those sites are listed in the order the county provided, with elevations for each site noted. The county said the site should be at least 700 feet high.

Site "B2," at the intersection of Timber Grove Road and Bond Avenue, is one of the top choices, according to public works spokesman David Fidler.

Two locations noted below -- G1 and G2 -- are the sites of two water tanks already in use in Reisterstown. The county is trying to decide if anything can be done at those sites to avoid building a water tower elsewhere.
