Police Investigating Fatal Shooting Near Elementary School

The Baltimore County Police are leaning on residents for their help in a homicide investigation.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — The Baltimore County Police Department is calling for the public's help in a homicide investigation.

The investigation is linked to a fatal shooting that took place Thursday around 5:25 a.m. in Pikesville, near the Winand Elementary School.

Police said that when officers arrived at 8300 Scotts Level Road, they found 43-year-old Tyrone Luster suffering from "at least one gunshot wound."

Luster was later pronounced dead at an area hospital.

Authorities are urging anyone with information related to the shooting to contact detectives at (410) 887-4636 or file an anonymous tip at 1 (866) 756-2587. Tips can also be submitted online through the Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland and the iWATCH program.
