We talk politics here but today we are going to share a love story. We got hit by the snow last night. To be clear over a foot of snow. We knew it was coming so we went to sleep last night knowing this would be a snow day. After a leisurely breakfast we decided to tackle the snow on the driveway. We noticed one of our neighbors was taking his snowblower and he was attempting to clean a path in the street. At this point the county had not sent out a plow. You know the drill, main streets first and neighborhood later, but my neighbor was on a mission. He made one pass and then he came back an made another pass. He did it again and again. We were like where does he think he is going? What could be so important? Why didn’t he simply go back in his house and enjoy the snow day, but he couldn’t. His wife has cancer and he was taking her to an appointment and he was not going to let rain, sleet or snow stop him from his mission. Later the plow did come but my neighbor had already cleared a path and that my friends is a love story. So maybe you won’t get flowers or candy tomorrow, but sometimes its enough to have the love of a determined man with a snowblower. Stay safe.
