Armed Man Suspected In 2 Owings Mills Robberies
Police released a video of the man who authorities say robbed two Owings Mills businesses in two days this week.
OWINGS MILLS, MD — Police have asked for help identifying a man suspected in two robberies in Owings Mills this week. The suspect struck two businesses in two days and caused Owings Mills area schools to be put on alert on Wednesday, according to police.
The man went into China Wok at 9762 Groffs Mill Drive on Wednesday and showed he had part of a rifle concealed under his black coat, officials said. He left on foot headed toward New Town Boulevard, and the clerk called 911.
As officers searched for the suspect on the ground and with a helicopter, police said New Town Elementary and New Town High schools.

The suspect was described as a black man who was 5-feet-10-inches to 6 feet tall with a light beard.

Police said the same man was believed to have robbed a beauty store at 9750 Groffs Mill Drive on Monday afternoon.
The suspect was seen on surveillance video going into Beauty 2U at 3:30 p.m., pulling a rifle out from his coat, pointing it at the clerk and demanding cash from the register, officials reported. He also left toward New Town Boulevard.
