Authorities Identify Man Killed in Owings Mills Fire
The 75-year-old man lived in the apartment, Baltimore County officials said.

The man killed in a fire at Painters Mill Apartments in Owings Mills this week has been identified, Baltimore County officials reported Thursday.
John Clark Johnson, 75, lived in the apartment where the fire broke out Tuesday and was unconscious when firefighters carried him from the second-floor residence to safety, according to the report, which said he was subsequently pronounced deceased at Northwest Hospital.

Several people were trapped at the apartment complex in the unit block of Tricount Court where the blaze broke out at approximately 2 a.m. on Tuesday, public safety officials reported.
A woman was taken to Johns Hopkins Burn Center in critical condition, and two others were injured, according to Baltimore County fire officials.

The Baltimore County Police Department’s fire investigators continue to look into the cause of the fire, officials said Thursday, noting there was “nothing suspicious about the fire.”
Career and volunteer firefighters from Owings Mills and Reisterstown planned to hold an “After the Fire Walk” at Painters Mills Apartments in the unit block of Tricount Court to discuss fire safety Thursday night.
