Bar Louie in Owings Mills Hosts Grand Opening

OWINGS MILLS, MD — Bar Louie opened earlier this month at Foundry Row, but it has yet to throw itself a proper grand opening party.

The restaurant and bar is making up for lost time by hosting an all-day soiree Friday overnight into Saturday. Food and drink specials will be on tap at Bar Louie, which specializes in local beers and homemade bar food like flatbreads, burgers, sandwiches and salads.

There will be a ribbon cutting at lunchtime Friday, with specials from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., the bar has declared it "Louiepalooza," when "anybody with a Louie-ish name (Louisa, Louise, Lou, etc.) gets a $10 hookup [aka gift] card," according to Bar Louie.

From 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, it's happy hour, with $3.25 drafts, $4.25 wines, $5.25 martinis and half-price appetizers and flatbreads.

With more than 110 locations across the U.S., Bar Louie is a franchise that maintains local flavor by offering regional beers on its selection of more than 20 taps. Other Bar Louie restaurants in Maryland are in Hunt Valley, Rockville and Wheaton.

The Bar Louie at Foundry Row is at 10080 Reisterstown Road in Owings Mills. The grand opening is Friday, Oct. 21. The restaurant and bar are open Monday to Friday, 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.; and Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 2 a.m.
