Bomb Threat Reported at Jewish Community Center in Park Heights
JCC officials said center was evacuated Wednesday morning.

BALTIMORE, MD — The Park Heights Jewish Community Center was evacuated Wednesday morning due to a bomb threat, officials said. It was the second time in 10 days that the center had received such a disturbance.
At 11:20 a.m. on Wednesday, officials said the building in the 5700 block of Park Heights Avenue had been evacuated. Police were called to the scene to investigate.
By 12:40 p.m., the building had been cleared by police and citizens could reenter, officials from the Jewish Community Center of Greater Baltimore reported.

Upon investigation, police determined the threat was unfounded, WBAL reported.
Park Heights was not alone in the scare. Jewish community centers in California, Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts and New Jersey also received hoax bomb threats over the phone on Wednesday, according to the New York Daily News, which reported the Department of Homeland Security was continuing to investigate after the first round of scares more than a week ago.

The Jewish Community Center at Park Heights was also targeted in that round of threats, receiving a bomb threat on Jan. 9 as other Jewish community centers had similar experiences around the country.
