Chamber Holds Charter Night Thursday

The Owings Mills-Reisterstown-Glyndon Chamber of Commerce holds it signature event, Charter Night, Thursday night at the Pikesville Hilton. The event features Baltimore Raven Cory Redding and Marching Ravens band president John Ziemann.

The theme of this year’s Reisterstown-Owings Mills-Glyndon (ROMG) Chamber of Commerce Charter Night is “Get in the Game,” and the organization has the perfect speakers.

Baltimore Ravens defensive lineman Cory Redding will speak along with John Ziemann, the president of the Marching Ravens.

“There’s obviously strong connections between the sports world in the teams as there is in the chamber of commerce,” said Brian Ditto, executive director of the ROMG Chamber. “That’s where the link comes in and hopefully that’s something that our speakers will address.”

The night also serves as the formal installation of chamber president Brian DeLeonardo, who took over last year after Erin Trudo stepped down from the post, as well as a new chamber board.

The event will feature a silent auction, which includes Baltimore sports memorabilia, and chamber members will have the opportunity to be photographed with the Oriole Bird and Poe, one of the Ravens’ mascots.

Although the event is black tie optional, Ditto said chamber members are encouraged to spice up their outfits with orange and purple accessories. The menu will also have some Ravens and Orioles-themed dishes, including cupcakes with purple and orange icing.

Thursday’s charter night is at the Pikesville Hilton, 1726 Reisterstown Road, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are $65 and can be purchased by calling the chamber office at 410-702-7073 or visiting romgchamber.com.
