Contaminated Kerosene Recalled From Liberty Road Gas Station
There is an "imminent fire hazard" posed by kerosene recalled from a Baltimore area gas station, officials say.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Fire officials have issued a warning about kerosene sold at a gas station on Liberty Road. Those who purchased the product should return it.
The kerosene, which was sold at the Shell & Dash-In on Liberty Road, was contaminated with gasoline, authorities said.
It was sold between Jan. 23 and Feb. 5 at the station at 8200 Liberty Road in the Windsor Mill area.

"Use of this contaminated kerosene poses an imminent fire risk if used in kerosene-fueled devices, such as space heaters," the Baltimore County Department of Emergency Management reported.
Use of gasoline in equipment designed for kerosene is known to cause fire and other hazards, officials said.

Dash-In's parent company advised customers on Wednesday, Feb. 6, that they should return the product to the Shell station at 8200 Liberty Road with proof of purchase for a refund and for proper disposal.
There were 46 customers who purchased the contaminated kerosene, according to Willis, the parent company of the Dash-In store. Call 240-316-4939 for immediate assistance.
