Monday: Dance, Kamenetz To Stop By Cedarmere
Baltimore County Public Schools' new superintendent, Dallas Dance, and County Executive Kevin Kamenetz will be there to greet students and their parents as they arrive.

This year's "first day" will include a greeting from Baltimore County Public Schools Superintendent Dallas Dance and County Executive Kevin Kamenetz for students and parents.
The duo will be on hand Monday to kick of the year with . It is one of eight schools they plan to visit throughout the day, said Baltimore County Public Schools spokesman Charles Herndon.
Dance and Kamenetz will be there to greet students and parents as they arrive in the morning and to attend the celebration, Herndon said.

"Cedarmere will be certainly I think be a highlight," he said. "Cedarmere’s back to school festivities are always a great treat for everybody.
Business leaders and other community figures will also be in attendance. Students will be treated to a special breakfast, which includes a performance by Blue Sky Puppet Theatre. Parents will be treated to a welcome breakfast and volunteer workshop to help them get involved with their students’ education. The school’s ESOL teacher and media specialist will also give presentations to parents.
