Developers Release Site Plans for Wegmans, Rest of Solo Cup Land

The site plan for Foundry Row at Owings Mills shows precisely what community officials indicated it would last week -- a .

Greenberg Gibbons and Vanguard Equities described their proposal as "an upscale retail destination and community gathering place."

In addition to Wegmans, the development plan includes 275,000-square feet of upscale retail space in an open-air center with shops, restaurants and outdoor gathering spaces for concerts and community events, a joint statement said.

The development will incorporate industrial-style architecture using glass and metal, reflecting the site’s manufacturing history, the statement continued.

The vacant, 52-acre Solo Cup property still must undergo rezoning before plans are finalized, Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz said.
