Driver Killed In 2-Vehicle Crash In Owings Mills: Police

Police said that the crash on Painters Mill Road at Grand Central Avenue was deadly.

OWINGS MILLS, MD -- Authorities say they are investigating a fatal crash in Owings Mills that happened on Thursday, Dec. 7. It occurred on Painters Mill Road at Grand Central Avenue before 5 p.m.

Charles Layne Taylor, 54, of the unit block of Byers Court, was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced deceased, police said. Investigators said that Taylor's vehicle was hit by another driver who hit a median.

Taylor had been driving a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am on Grand Central Avenue at the time of the crash, officials reported.

According to investigators, a 2003 Ford Taurus hit a median on southbound Painters Mill Road, then continued onto Grand Central Avenue and hit Taylor's vehicle.

Police said that the crash investigation into the deadly crash was continuing.
