By the Bay Botanicals Candle Trunk Show

October 1, 2011 – Glyndon, MD.  On Saturday, October 22, 2011, from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., local Black-Eyed Susan is hosting a trunk show featuring candles from local Reisterstown craft business By the Bay Botanicals. Meet the owner of By the Bay Botanicals, Michelle Sholund, who offers affordable, handmade palm wax, and scented candles.

The Destination Scentsation candle line is unlike any other candle line on the market.  The secret is in the ingredients.   Palm wax is eco-friendly, has a frost-like appearance, and the hot and cold scent throw is remarkable.  These candles are safe to burn, made with 100% cotton braid wicks making for a soot-free candle.   In addition, the candles are uniquely scented with the blending of essential and high grade fragrance oils unique to the company and named after popular travel destinations such as Baltimore Berry Blush, Hershey Hot Cocoa, and Minnesota Northlands.

Shoulund's candles are most often sold at art fairs around Maryland.  “When making one's own handcrafted work,” says Michelle, “it is hard to find outlets that work with 'little people' giving us an opportunity to introduce handcrafted work to the public.  Such shops are like angels helping a craft artist with a dream.”

As a special thanks to all who come out to the trunk show on October 22, 2011 Black Eyed Susan, the first 50 customers who come to the shop will receive a special free gift.  The jar candles come in two different sizes and start at $10.  It is worth seeking out why so many say they are like a 'vacation in a jar.'  Guests may go to Black Eyed Susan's website, blackeyedsusangiftbaskets.com or call 410-833-5427 for hours, directions, and other contact information.
