BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Authorities say they have located the driver suspected of swiping a truck in a fatal hit-and-run crash Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 795. The driver kept going afterward, as the victim's vehicle went off the road in a crash that he did not survive, according to police.

Investigators suspected a gray 2010 Nissan Rouge with Maryland tags 5DP1267 in the crash.

The Nissan was going north on I-795 when police said it sideswiped a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado south of the exit for Franklin Boulevard before 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8.

Witnesses told police that the suspect vehicle continued going north on I-795 after the crash.

Police issued a lookout for the Nissan Rouge, stating it may have damage to the right front passenger side and could be missing the right front hubcap.

After 7:30 p.m., Baltimore County police officers reportedly saw the suspect vehicle in a parking lot in Woodlawn. The vehicle had obvious front-end damage, and the suspected driver was inside, according to officials, who said the driver was taken into custody without incident. Police said the identity of the driver is being withheld pending an arrest with charges filed; troopers are continuing the crash investigation and will submit their findings to the state’s attorney for review.
